Nestled in the North Georgia mountains, just outside Chattanooga, are 450 lush mountain acres that promise a fall getaway to remember. October 24-25, is the perfect weekend to venture up the mountain for some good old fashioned fun. The weekend will feature tours of the This Old House Cottage at Cloudland Station and a Fall Festival.
The first, new construction, decorated show house from This Old House Ventures, Inc. is a 1900-square-foot Garden Craftsman Cottage at Cloudland Station. During the show home’s Grand Opening, visitors will walk on the wide wrap around porch with indigenous stone tapered columns and be among the first to see the treasures inside. The home will be featured in the November issue of This Old House magazine.
Guests to Cloudland Station will also be treated to a day of fun at The Homestead, a beautiful, 1871 handcrafted, Amish barn event facility that will host wine and beer vendors, artisans and Blue Grass bands. Guests can shop for unique holiday gifts, enjoy fine wine, and dance to lively music.
The young and old alike will be thrilled to play on the grand tree house at Tree House Park, designed by Pete Nelson of Animal Planet’s Treehouse Masters. Nearby, kids and families can enjoy the competition of friendly yard games, like corn hole, while decorating pumpkins, getting their faces painted, and enjoying pony rides.
The picturesque scenery around Cloudland Station offers several amazing locations for your family photo shoot. Get photos taken on an old wagon, among pumpkins, or on a covered bridge to name a few select spots for that picture perfect holiday card photo.
